Recently, Janet Jackson revealed that her label, Def Jam has decided to stop promoting her latest album "Discipline". This is what Janet had to say about her label:
"They've basically stopped all promotion," Jackson told Perez Hilton. "I've tried to think of a way to say this, but it's best to be honest. I doubt there'll be another single."
Apparently, sales on Janet's new album hasn't reached her label's expectations and therefore do not see any reason to invest more in "Discipline". The album has sold 392,000 copies in the United States since its February release. "Luv" peaked at No. 34 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, while the first single released from the new album, "Feedback," reached No. 39.
Unfortunately, Janet also won't be taking her "Rock Witchu Tour" to Europe due to these recent events. Although Def Jam says that this doesn't have anything to do with them.
Support Janet and make sure to get your copy of "Discipline", Music2Nite highly recommends it!
